Enjoying The Piano Practice

By admin On July 23, 2010 Under DVD Players

Dedication is required in anything to get good results. Working with full dedication provide us with the result of our choice. As we all know piano comprised of 88 keys, and it is very difficult to play just because of its size, its keyboard is very complicated to play. Piano is famous for its versatility which is a beginner’s main problem. People are also seen having trouble playing scales like octaves and others.

We just make piano practice sessions tough for us. It also happens that people aim too high which are very hard to achieve and when they couldn’t achieve those aims they loose confidence and end up quitting playing. We make excuses for not practicing but it is not the way to go for it.  Piano practice can be enjoyable too. Here are some ways to enjoy the practice

  • When ever you feel bored or agitated just go for some refreshing new stuff.
  • In some ways it is better to learn as a child because children have better imagination, so they think they sound good
  • Sometime breaking your practice time into smaller sessions also helps in enjoying the practice
  • Try to be creative with your playing and should never go for pure technical playing.
  • Just make small aims and try to achieve them because you can not play Beethoven from the first day of your practice and it will take certain amount of time to achieve those goals.
  • Don’t be over specific, means if you are saying you can learn Grieg’s piano concerto in a minor in your first sitting then it is not going to work. You should break composition in pieces, and start learning single piece at a time
  • Don’t practice piano 24/7 because you chose piano for your enjoyment not your punishment
  • There is no benefit in practicing too fast, it will only give you stress nothing else
  • Repetition sometime builds frustration. Always bring some changes in your practice.

There is a famous saying that practice makes a man perfect. Keep practicing and enjoy the piano. It is a wonderful feeling when a section that was once impossible becomes easy. There are various ways by which you can motivate yourself for the practice and can become a great pianist.
